Builder Handbook

This handbook is an overview of the tools available to builders for the Gamer Dorks Minecraft Network as well as a guide to the places that builders are invited to build server structures. Please read all the way through if you are currently a builder or intend to join the builder team.

Builder Worlds

Builder worlds can be accessed in the Creative Pro game mode.

  1. Connect to mc.gamerdorks.net
  2. Use the Server Selector menu to join Creative Pro. It will have a Wooden Axe icon.
  3. Use the /builder command to access a world. Options include:
    • /builder enhancedsmp
    • /builder unboxed

Always build in the builder world made for the game mode you’re building for. If there isn’t one available, request a new one to be made.

Using Axiom

Axiom is free to use on Gamer Dorks so long as you join from mc.gamerdorks.net. Otherwise, it requires a license or player whitelist.

If you have the Modpack installed, Axiom will be available for use. Press your right-shift key to enable the Axiom Editor.

Using WorldEdit

WorldEdit is always free to use on Gamer Dorks. If you’re unfamiliar with WorldEdit, start with using these commands:

  • //wand – Gives you the WorldEdit wand for making selections.
  • //set <pattern> – Sets the entire selection as the given pattern.
  • //replace <blocks> <pattern> – Replaces all blocks of the specified type in the selection with the given pattern.
  • //move <number> – Moves the selection by the specified number of blocks in the direction you’re facing.
  • //copy – Copies the selection to your clipboard relative to your position.
  • //paste – Pastes your clipboard relative to your position.
