Appeal a Ban or Mute
If you have been muted, suspended, or banned from a Gamer Dorks service, then you can appeal the decision here, and have a chance at getting the decision reversed.
When should I appeal?
There are a few situations in which you should appeal your punishment:
- You were punished by mistake.
- The punishment reason was not valid.
- The rule for which you were punished has been changed.
- You have grown as a person since you were punished.
(Wait at least 6 months after your punishment before making an appeal for this reason.)
If none of these situations apply, maybe it’s not the right time to make an appeal.
What should I include in my appeal?
Include the following information your appeal:
- Platform: Minecraft Server, Discord Server, Steam Group, Hey.Cafe Group, or Reddit Community.
- Identifier: A unique identifier for the platform.
- For Minecraft: Minecraft Username and Edition (Java / Bedrock)
- For Discord: Discord Username or ID.
- For Steam: Steam community profile link.
- For Hey.Cafe: Hey.Cafe username or profile link.
- For Reddit: Reddit username or profile link.
- Appeal Reason: Why you should be unbanned (See “When should I appeal?” for valid reasons).
- (OPTIONAL) Extra Information: Anything extra that may be relevant to your case.
Withholding any of this information may result in your appeal getting instantly denied.
How can I appeal?
Contact us via either of our main two points of contact:
- Email us at contact@gamerdorks.net
- Join our Discord server at https://gamerdorks.net/discord and open a “Contact Moderators” ticket in the #ticket channel.
If you are banned from the Discord server (i.e. when you are trying to appeal that ban), emailing us is your only option.
